I believe that a Lightworker is an old soul that made very specific choices in order to get to where he or she is now. Many lifetimes ago, I believe that each of these souls chose to live lives inundated with dramatic and traumatic life experience in order to boost their insight, knowledge and understanding, thus accelerate their growth rate and travelling their paths at a faster rate then others. The purpose for this accelerated lifestyle is to play the roles of teachers, healers and general helpers during these present times of change. This may sound like a “special calling”, implying that Lightworkers are more “special” than others. However, this is incorrect. In fact, anyone thinking that they are “better” than another is considered “unenlightened”. We are all, in fact, equal.
I have come to understand, through research and personal experience and observation that Lightworkers also tend to have a lot of karma to launder in this life time. So, you might find one at any level of life experience. In fact, most of the time it’s the person down the street with the most simplest and barest of lifestyles that is the enlightened one. It can also be someone who mainstream society might consider “unmotivated” or “just doesn’t want to grow up”. This could be a Lightworker who is currently off-path due to dealing with heavy karmic unload and living life experience that will, in some way, add to what he or she needs to accomplish. This karmic burden can be considered the biggest barrier to a Lightworker at this time. There is great pressure to pull themselves through immense life experience and growth in order to be prepared, while these very experiences can cause detours in the journey. And this is why they are in every area of life.
What are their characteristics?
Some characteristics of a Lightworker can be:
Since Lightworkers are living their own experiences – and these are often seen as extra-ordinarily heavy experiences – in every part of life, they have the opportunity to affect others from every part of life, in a very wide variety of ways.
I believe that Lightworkers work with what they’ve got, and help others see their own situations in just that way. One of my favourite mantras I use myself and share with others is “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do with it.” So, in other words, life is exactly the way it is supposed to be right now for each one of us, in this moment – work with it.
Barriers have to be addressed. The barriers are often presented as “unspoken rules”, a core set of beliefs, that we all tend to grow up with and are conditioned to believe. We also have to break through embedded guilt, shame, self-blame and resentments we have been conditioned to feel throughout our lives. We need to return to our original set of beliefs that we were born with. These beliefs best represent our Human Rights.
Through these remembered beliefs, we can get in touch with our true selves -- who we really are -- what we are capable of doing – what we were born into this lifetime to do.
Just one example of how these “unspoken rules” can inhibit this growth, Rule: “My needs are not as important as other people’s needs.” This is damaging because if we believe others’ needs are more important, then we are more likely to live a life that others will consider acceptable.
Each person also has to eventually understand that by believing that everything is the way it is supposed to be, we must believe that whatever has happened to each one of us in the past, no matter how damaging and hurtful, has also all happened for at least one reason and purpose. We all have to figure out what these reasons are and with them.
Once we find positive reasons for something that has happened to us, nothing is a negative experience.
Everyone needs to also learn how to live in the “Now”. Each Lightworker has his or her own set of strengths and gifts that can guide others into a personal manner of achieving a sense of now.
From here on, the information can vastly differ attempting to answer the question “how do they assist others with their healing?”, depending on a Lightworker’s belief system relating to what exactly they anticipate will be involved in this “planetary shift” that we are currently experiencing. I find, if you break down these differentiating details, the basis of why Lightworkers are here, and preparing to accomplish, is to guide others through their own chosen paths/journey during these times of change.
Everyone has chosen their own experiences.
At the right time for each person, a Lightworker will cross paths with someone, providing them with the information and experience needed at the time, in order to help them shift their minds and bodies along with the planetary shifts, in the ways they’ve previously chosen.
